Valley House
Valley House is a great example of how textured polished plaster finishes can be used simultaneously on various surfaces within a home while maintaining a soft minimalist feel.
Suave in Illusion was applied to the ceilings, with the contrasting warm grey of Gravel White on the walls and joinery elements that both divide the space and connect the new with the old. The junctions in the extension were square stopped, with the plaster walls meeting the floor for a clean modern look. In the existing section of the home, painted heritage skirtings offset the texture of plaster.
Doors to private rooms are cleverly concealed in corridor leading to the older part of the house blending seamlessly through the application of the rendered plaster to both walls and the frameless joinery.
A modern extension to an existing villa, the material palette is considered and warm, with flexible living spaces cleverly hidden or accentuated through joinery walls and concealed doors. This paired back approach allows the kitchen to maintain its focus as the hero of the home, with the clean glossy surfaces in beautiful contrast to the warm textures surrounding it.

“The overall palette of the interior is one of muted tones, and Ambitec allowed us to explore subtle shifts in tone and texture to compliment the other materials of timber, stone and metalwork. In areas where we were interested to create an experience to feel more intimate and protected, we were able to work with Ambitec to refine custom dark green and grey colours. This ability to fine tune a material which has such depth and tactility was what drew us to use Ambitec.
The team at Ambitec were a pleasure to work alongside for this project and shared our drive to strive for the best result possible.”
