Colour Disclaimer

1. Colours shown on this website are a representation only.

Please refer to our actual product sample for a true representation. Ambitec samples are available to order by phone or via email at info@ambitec.co.nz.

2. Limitation of Colour Matching with Paint Colours.

In the composition of Ambitec polished plaster products, there is a high contend of white marble filler. This filler cannot be coloured to become part of the colour impression and light diffraction. This becomes more noticeable in the darker colours.

The colourants used in our tinting process are also different to that used by paint manufacturers and therefore we cannot simply use a code to reference a particular paint colour. ‘Colour matching’ is based on existing recipes within our library and modified to achieve ‘custom colours’ that work tonally with the requested paint colour match. As colour is very subjective, we will create small iterations for you to approve.

Variations between plaster batches at times may also alter the colour, it is therefore recommended that different batches of the same colour are mixed together to minimise this variation.

Also influencing colour appearance are the different levels of polishing and the use of our finishing sealers which may also darken the colour by a ¼ shade.

Instead of looking for the perfect match, it’s recommended to start with a colour from our colour library that works tonally with your material palette, if what we have isn’t sufficient or you require a special ‘match’ we will attempt to create something for you that will be in ‘harmony’ with the paint colour, but due to the above circumstances may never be a perfect match.

1. Terms

2. Sample Availability

From time to time samples of our polished plaster finishes described on the site may not be available. If samples are rquired urgently please get in touch with us at least 2 weeks before they are required. If a bespoke colour is required, please give us at least 4 weeks notice to prepare these for you. While Ambitec does not accept liability for any loss arising, every effort will be made to keep the information up to date and accurate.

3. Quotes and Payment Terms

Quotes are valid for 60 days from date of issue. Once accepted, please give an indication of timing so that we can book pre-book your job into our system. Regular updates from you are your building contractor are required for our scheduling purposes and to ensure your job can be completed in your desired time-frame.

The quote is based on the assumption that we will have a clear run on site. Any significant delays may cause added cost/ downtime charges to be incurred.

Our payment terms are 50% deposit before commencement of the job, monthly progress payments during larger projects, balance/final invoice issued at job completion. No retentions are allowed.

4. Risk

We recommend programming the installation of Ambitec Polished Plaster toward/at the end of project completion. This will minimise damage from other trades and will ensure all works on surfaces to be rendered are complete and no additional works will need to be carried out after our installation.

5. Disclaimer. Limitation of Liability and Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability to you or anyone else for loss or damage of any kind (however caused or arising) relating in any way to the website including, but not limited to, loss or damage you might suffer as a result of:

  • Errors, mistakes or inaccuracies on the website;

  • You acting, or failing to act, on any information contained on or referred to on the website or any linked website;

  • Personal injury or property damage of any kind resulting from your access or use of the website;

  • Any unauthorised access to or use of the websites secure servers;

  • Any interruption or cessation of transmission to or from the website;
